My 7 year old daughter with autism is my life. I throw every minute of every day into teaching my daughter all the education and independence that I can. And humor! Lots of that! I do have 2 grown sons (both in their 20's) and they too are my life. One is mentally challenged (I raised him during the years when no one knew what we now know on autism.) He's very sweet yet prideful and stubborn so it's impossible finding resources, benefits or friends like him but I still hope and try to. It's just hard having 2 special needs kids with such a huge age difference of needs.) He lives between home and a family member's. My youngest son is in his last year of college and very independent. I'm going to try my best to keep up with this particular social media platform because as you might know it's definitely lonely being this kind of a parent. We do our best!
